Funerals Where People Celebrate the Life of the Soul
At many funerals today, it is popular to celebrate the life of the person who has just died.
Our Lord is not happy about that. He said, “I know you from the moment of your creation until the time comes that you die and come into My Presence. In Heaven, it is all written about your life, and that is the most important. But now, it is fashionable at funerals to celebrate the life of those who die. It is not important to do that as the soul is waiting there for prayers to be offered for them—that is the most essential thing to do. That does not help the soul in the eternity that it has now entered. The soul does not benefit from that at all.”
Prayers and Holy Mass offerings, mentioning the name of the soul, when and where they were born, is sufficient. The soul that is present in the Church at their own funeral is embarrassed by the celebration of their life, because they know the truth, that it does not please God at all.
