St. Eugene
This evening I went to bed earlier than I usually do. Suddenly, I experienced deep pain in both my legs.
In desperation, I prayed and invoked the names of every saint in Heaven I could think of. I also invoked the names of Pope Francis, Pope Benedict, Pope John Paul II, Pope John XXIII, every Pope I could remember.
Then I wondered, ‘Wait a minute, what is the name of the Pope who took me to Heaven in 1991?’
I just could not think of his name. I made the Sign of the Cross three times and prayed, “Lord Jesus, send the Holy Spirit to me, to enlighten me to remember the name of the Saint that took me to Heaven the first time.”
There was no answer at first. Then, suddenly, the Angel appeared by my bedside.
He smiled and said, “You know why you can’t remember his name? Because you offended him greatly when he took you to Heaven.”
Perplexed, I asked, “Oh, how did I offend him?”
The Angel explained, “When you asked him, ‘What is your name?’, he turned to you and told you his name, and you replied, ‘That is a nice name’, but in your heart you thought, ‘I don’t like his name’.”
I asked, “But how would he know?”
The Angel replied, “We know everything in Heaven. If you don’t feel good about something, we know. So, he was very hurt that you didn’t like his name.”
I said, “I didn’t know that. Please tell him that I apologise a thousand times, and I regret that I said those words, because I didn’t understand.”
As soon as I apologised, I immediately remembered his name is St Eugene!
Then the Angel took my spirit to Purgatory, while my body remained in pain in my bedroom.
I saw many souls in a long procession. Each one held in their right hand what looked like a banner made of soft pink fabric. This was a sign that this group belonged to Blessed Mother.
They turned to me and said, “Valentina, will you come with us?”
I replied, “Give me a minute, I will change my top and pants, and I will come and follow you.”
At that moment, they disappeared, because I was not meant to go with them. The souls were holding the pink banners because the Blessed Mother was preparing them to take them to Heaven herself.
