The Stains of Sin Left Behind on Blessed Mother’s Statue

After Sunday Holy Mass, I went to the Chapel to pray before the statue of the Blessed Mother and Baby Jesus.

As I honoured the Blessed Mother and praised our Lord Jesus, I said, “Blessed Mother, you have beautiful flowers. Heavenly flowers all around you.”

She said, “I thank my children for doing all of that, but my heart is very sad.”

I said, “Oh, Blessed Mother, you don’t look too happy.”

She said, “Well, how can I be happy when my Son is so rejected in the world and abused?”

I said, “But there are a lot of children who love you and your Son.”

“Some—they love us, but most of them don’t love us. They don’t believe in us, and they reject us. They offend my Son so deeply,” she said.

She looked truly sad.

As I stood there, a man approached and reached out to touch her statue, placing his hand on the Blessed Mother to pray to her.

She said, “See, Valentina, he would like that I help him, but he left the mark of dirt on me. That is because he does not confess his sins. You have to tell people to confess their sins. That is the hardest thing for a person—to go to Confession, to convert. They love me, they come to church, but they do not want to go to Confession. They hold onto whatever resentment they have in them, or whatever problem there is in their soul—they have to confess that.”

“You have to tell people not to touch my statue. No one in the church ever speaks of this or teaches people about this.”

I said, “I’m so sorry, Blessed Mother. I was going to tell him, but he left very quickly. So I’m going to now make reparation for the people.”

I could see a dirty stain on the Blessed Mother’s dress where the man’s hand had rested. This is the stain of sin he left behind. She does not want her statues to be touched at any time. When people do not go to Confession, they leave dirt behind because they carry sin within them. The mark remains on her beautiful, immaculate image. She was very upset.
